ऑस्ट्रेलिया के स्थायी निवासी एक व्यक्ति की दिल्ली के एक निजी अस्पताल में कोविड-19 से मौत हो गई है.

एबीसी ने इस व्यक्ति की बेटी की एक फेसबुक पोस्ट के हवाले से जानकारी दी है कि महिला के माता और पिता दोनों कोरोनावायरस से पीड़ित थे और पिछले हफ्ते उनके पिता की मौत हो गई.

भारत में कोविड-19 से दो लाख 38 हजार 270 लोगों की मौत कोरोनावायरस महामारी से हो चुकी है. चार हजार से ज्यादा लोगों की मौत शुक्रवार को दर्ज की गई.

भारत इस महामारी से भयंकर प्रकोप से गुजर रहा है. दो करोड़ से ज्यादा लोग अब तक कोरोनावायरस से पीड़ित हो चुके हैं. पिछले तीन दिन से लगातार चार लाख से ज्यादा लोग संक्रमित हुए हैं.

एबीसी के मुताबिक फेसबुक पर खुले खत में ऑस्ट्रेलियाई नागरिक एक महिला ने लिखा है कि उनके माता-पिता को कोविड होने के बावजूद ऑस्ट्रेलियाई उच्चायोग ने कुछ नहीं किया.

उन्होंने लिखा है, “अब मेरे पास बस मां बची है जिसे उनकी अपनी सरकार ने भारत में बेसहारा छोड़ दिया है और अपने ही बच्चों के पास लौटने का उनके पास कोई विकल्प नहीं है. हम फूट-फूट कर रोना चाहते हैं लेकिन हम सब साथ होने का इंतजार कर रहे हैं.”

ऑस्ट्रेलिया की सरकार ने पिछले महीने भारत से ऑस्ट्रेलिया आने को अपराध बनाते हुए प्रतिबंध लगा दिया था. हालांकि शुक्रवार को यह प्रतिबंध हटा लिया गया है लेकिन भारत से ऑस्ट्रेलिया आने के विकल्प बेहद कम हैं. इसके अलावा प्रधानमंत्री स्कॉट मॉरिसन ने कहा है कि ऑस्ट्रेलिया कोविड पीड़ित किसी व्यक्ति को स्वीकार नहीं करेगा.
