कोरोनावायरस महामारी के कारण महीनों से भारत में फंसे लोगों को लेकर जब पहला विमान शनिवार को ऑस्ट्रेलिया आएगा तो उसमें उम्मीद से 40 लोग कम होंगे. इन लोगों को वहीं छोड़ दिया गया है क्योंकि ये कोविड संक्रमित हो चुके हैं.

भारत से आने पर लगा प्रतिबंध हटने के बाद पहली रीपैट्रिएशन फ्लाइट शनिवार को ऑस्ट्रेलिया के डार्विन पहुंचेगी. इस विमान में लगभग 150 लोगों को आना था लेकिन 40 लोग कोरोनावायरस से संक्रमित पाए जाने के बाद उन्हें भारत में ही छोड़ दिया गया है.

ऑस्ट्रेलिया की नीति है कि कोविड से संक्रमित कोई व्यक्ति ऑस्ट्रेलिया नहीं आ सकता. लेकिन आ पा रहे लोगों में बेचैनी है. इनमें से एक सनी जौरा ने एबीसी से बातचीत में कहा कि उन्होंने खुद को सुरक्षित रखने की हर संभव कोशिश की.

जौरा ने कहा, “अगर मैं मर गया तो उसकी जिम्मेदार ऑस्ट्रेलिया की सरकार होगी.”

यात्रियों को लेकर पहला विमान डार्विन पहुंचेगा जहां उन लोगों को दो हफ्ते एकांतवास में बिताने होंगे.

लगभग नौ हजार ऑस्ट्रेलियाई नागरिक और स्थायी निवासी ऑस्ट्रेलिया में फंसे हैं और लौटने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं.
