Visa Update: Western Australia announces changes to occupation lists

Western Australia has made significant changes to its occupations list.

Applicants can use employment contracts from Perth or anywhere in Western Australia to meet requirements for State nomination for some occupations. Western Australia has announced the changes to its occupation list and requirements.

“Migration Services is implementing a number of changes to the Western Australian Skilled Migration Occupation List Schedule 1 (WASMOL Schedule 1) and Graduate Occupation List (GOL),” said the Migration Services.

The following occupations on the WASMOL Schedule 1 are no longer considered Regional WA Only, meaning applicants can use employment contracts from Perth or anywhere in Western Australia to meet requirements for State nomination. This applies to all new and pipeline applications.

• Registered Nurse (Critical Care and Emergency) (254415)

• Registered Nurse (Developmental Disability) (254416)

• Registered Nurse (Disability and Rehabilitation) (254417)

• Registered Nurse (Medical) (254418)

• Registered Nurse (Medical Practice) (254421)

• Registered Nurse (Mental Health) (254422)

• Registered Nurse (Paediatrics) (254425)

• Registered Nurse (Perioperative) (254423)

• Registered Nurse (Surgical) (254424)

• Registered Nurses nec (254499)
