A ‘not-so-lucky-in-love’ London bachelor has plastered his face in ads at London’s Oxford Circus station in the hope of getting the attention of Ms Right.

As part of his campaign, ‘Find Jeevan a wife’, Jeevan Bhachu, 31, has rented out two huge billboards of himself on the platforms at the Central and Bakerloo lines of Oxford Circus for two weeks.

The ads, bearing the catchy slogan, “Best Indian you’ll takeaway”, reportedly cost the 31-year-old, who works as a salesman and a marketer, £2,000.

The advertisement directs interested parties to his website, findjeevanawife.com, where they’re asked to provide information about their hobbies and interests along with their photo.

Jeevan was quoted in MyLondon : “It’s going well, I’ve had about 50 (applicants) so far. Some are genuine, some not so genuine. I’ve got to sort through them all and see if anyone catches my eye.”

Jeevan’s website says, “”Since covid, it’s been tough to get yourself out there. Apps are declining and I’m more interested in meeting than countless texting & swiping. So it’s time to do something more creative!”

“”I’m open to any race for my ideal partner. Someone who is family orientated, humble, and wants to make the most of life. Appreciating humour and not taking life too seriously is key.”

According to Jeevan, the response has been encouraging. However, he says if he does not find love from this round of ads, he is considering placing more ads at King’s Cross or another station.
