Commencing in the 2022-23 program year, people residing overseas are now eligible to be considered for Western Australia (WA) State nomination, State Government has announced.
The Western Australian government recently announced that invitations to apply for WA State nomination would be via the ranking system, giving preference to applicants currently residing in WA, followed by those residing in Australia and then those residing overseas.
The 2022-23 updated Western Australian State nomination criteria are now available.
Western Australia has added additional occupations to the list in the graduate stream. Over 120 occupations have been added, making it a comprehensive list.
Graduate stream criteria for WA are as below:
At least two years of study in Western Australia from an accredited college/university:
· university/higher education;
· VET (Certificate III level or above); and/or
· English language programs.
You must have at least six months of Australian work experience in your nominated occupation or a six-month employment contract in your nominated occupation in Western Australia.
Demonstrate sufficient settlement funds
Some other criteria may also apply depending on region and stream.
