NRI Affairs was launched on 1 May 2021 as an independent online current-affairs platform for overseas Indians and South Asians, bringing them the latest news, features and opinions about their country of origin.

We have sections on news, opinions, art and entertainment that our communities around the world have found to be not only informative but engaging too.

Our work speaks for itself. In March 2022, NRI Affairs became Australia’s most viewed Indian diaspora-focussed news site. Today, on the day of our first anniversary, we continue to grow on that number, with page views reaching a whopping 223,000!

NRI Affairs thanks all readers for this milestone and vindicating the solemn fact that nothing can beat independent and upright journalism. This past year, we have had many proud moments – the first publication to break the news of Vishal Jood pleading guilty for his alleged role in a series of assaults against Sikhs in Sydney’s west or the Australia-India Institute imbroglio in Melbourne and our consistent focus on coverage of social justice issues.

One year of hard work, late nights, and stringent deadlines has brought us to a happy place so far, but we remain humbly committed. We seek your blessings and pray for many more fantastic years of working together to bring you news at your fingertips.

Follow NRI Affairs on Facebook and Twitter for latest updates. Support us on Patreon.
