An Indian-origin family was left in shock after thieves ran over the man and stole his car from his driveway in Melbourne’s west.

24-year-old Jaspreet Singh and his wife Khushboo Khanna are still in shock after being carjacked last week outside their home in Truganina.

This incident took place just after midnight on December 29, when three car-thieves surrounded their car.

9 News broadcast the video footage taken by a neighbour’s CCTV that shows Ms Khanna’s screaming while Jasbreet Singh tried to stop the thieves. Instead, they ran over him and drove away.

“When the car drove over his legs, he thought it’s over now, his legs are gone,” she told 9News.

“It is very horrifying.”

Mr Singh has been left injured with bruises, scratches and a cut on his foot through to the bone. He was taken to Footscray hospital.

The car was found in Southbank the following morning.
