Visa update: Victoria invited 1,715 applicants to apply for state nomination so far

Victoria has invited 1,715 applicants to apply for Victorian visa nomination as at 31 December 2021.

Out of 10,308 Registrations of Interest for the state nomination program as at 31 December 2021, Victoria selected 1,715 applicants to apply for the visa nomination.

In the half-yearly review of the program, Victoria revealed that 1,444 applications had been submitted for Victorian visa nomination for Skilled nomination visa (subclass 190) and 199 for Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491).

The state has been allocated 3,500 places for Skilled nomination visa (subclass 190) and 500 places for Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491).

“In the 2021-22 Victorian skilled visa nomination program, we are seeking applicants working in our target sectors with STEMM skills,” the review states.

 As at 31 December 2021, 1,505 of 8,929 ROIs have been selected to apply for Victorian visa nomination.

Subclass 491

 As at 31 December 2021, 210 of 1,379 ROIs have been selected to apply for Victorian visa nomination.

According to ‘liveinmelbourne’ website 75% of applications were processed in 32 days while  90% in 43 days.

 The highest number of applicants selected were ICT professionals (449), followed by Design, Engineering, Science and Transport professionals (448). 409 health and 200 education professionals were invited to apply for Victoria visa.
