A malicious tweet was posted from PM Modi’s handle at the time of the hack claiming, India has officially adopted bitcoin as legal tender.

Narendra Modi received a warm welcome from the Indian diaspora in the US on Thursday.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the US to attend the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

He was welcomed by scores of exuberant members of the Indian diaspora who were waiting to greet him along his drive from the Washington airport, where he landed on Wednesday.

Overwhelmed, Modi thanked the Indian diaspora on Twitter.

He said, “Grateful to the Indian community in Washington DC for the warm welcome. Our diaspora is our strength. It is commendable how the Indian diaspora has distinguished itself across the world.”

Following the arrival, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was received by Indian Ambassador to the USA, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources, T.H. Brian McKeon.

On his visit to the United States, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold meetings with US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. This would be PM’s first in-person with President Biden after he took over the office as President of the United States. Prime Ministers Narendra Modi will further join Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Japan’s PM Yoshihide Suga for the first in-person Quad meeting along with Presiden Biden. PM Modi is also scheduled to meet CEOs of leading US companies to highlight economic opportunities in India.
