The Regional Development Australia Northern Inland (RDANI) has removed ‘accountant’ from its occupation list for visa sponsorship.
RDANI says the occupation accountant might not be available in March.
“Accountant will become available again in future rounds in the Northern Inland region. We have reached our limit for now. Applications from outside of our region have not largely contributed to that,” it said in a statement.
Northern Inland region of NSW, which includes 12 Local Government Areas, has updated the occupation list, which shows ‘Accountant’ as unavailable.
This might leave many applicants disappointed, as accountant is a prevalent occupation.
Migration expert Chaman Preet says it’s disheartening for some to see the occupation being made unavailable.
“There are applicants trying to fulfil the condition by working in the field but still find it challenging to secure a place. It’s a popular occupation, and the number of allocated places have been taken up by clients in the region itself. That shows how competitive this program is,” said Chaman Preet, DIrector – Migration and Education Experts, Melbourne.
