Indian Member of Parliament Tejasvi Surya, who is in Australia as an Australia India Youth Dialogue delegate, says “in alignment with Hindu civilization objectives”, Hindus around the world must “very-very clearly articulate” the “most bloody, most gory” Islamic invasion of India.

Speaking at an event in Parramatta, NSW after his first event in Australia was cancelled due to protest calls, Tejasvi Surya, the firebrand BJP MP from Bengaluru South, in Karnataka, quoted the American writer Will Durant who is supposed to have written that the Islamic invasion of India “is the most bloodiest chapter in the history of the world” and added – it is essential for the Hindu people, the residents in India and the diaspora to “very-very clearly articulate it”.

Mr Tejasvi said when Indians move out of India, it is very essential for them also to protect the civilizational values and philosophy of India. He appealed to the Hindus in Australia to learn from the Jews “how clear they are about their threats as well as their challenges.”

“You will also see how vocal they are, how articulate they are about their demands, about their aspirations. You will also see how closely they are working to protect the interests along with the local political leadership.”

Tejasvi Surya invitation row: Event partners stand firm with AIYD

Mr Tejasvi, who has been criticised by human rights activists for his alleged misogynistic and Islamophobic statements, said it is important for Hindus to come together and express collectivism and collective voice “because that is going to impact so many of the policies in the coming years.”

Without naming any community, he said, “We are at a point in history there, whether we like it or not, there are certain cultural and civilizational forces that may not always have the best interest of our community and our philosophy.”

Mr Tejasvi, a member of the Hindu fundamentalist organisation Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), said it is very essential for the Hindus to participate in politics in Australia.

“It’s very essential for Hindu parents to give the young Hindus the right world-view to see the world and the world affairs from the prism of the Hindu interest. It is very important to train them and give them this lens because, in the coming years, the ideal scenario would be when we have the young rise up to important public offices in Australia and be the vanguards of protecting our civilisational interest,” he said.

Dear @DFAT,

This is @Tejasvi_Surya, the president of @BJP4India, on Australian soil, encouraging violence against Muslims by equating them with Nazis, saying, “The Islamic chapter in India is bloodiest chapter in the history of the world.”

Tejasvi Surya also commented on the Dravidian movement saying the Tamil people have been brainwashed into this Dravidian ideology.

He said, “Tamil people are one of the most religious and of the most Hindu, when it comes to practises and rituals, the most committed. But unfortunately, they have been brainwashed into this Dravidian ideology which is which has no roots whatsoever in the Indian traditional philosophy of political or social ideas. And this very vigilant ideology has destroyed the Tamil culture.”

Hindus for Human Rights (HfHR) an international organisation of the people Hindu faith, told NRI Affairs, “Hinduism is a tolerant and inclusive religion that holds multiplicities. As a Hindu organisation, we provide a Hindu voice of resistance to caste, Hindu extremism, racism, and all forms of bigotry and oppression. In light of that, today, there is an urgency for forces of humanism and syncretism to come together and deny a platform to those who seek to spread their poisonous narrative of hate, while they erroneously claim to be the voice of all Hindus.”

Many Muslim organisations found Mr Tejasvi’s speech “derogatory & slanderous”.

Waseem Razavi, a youth councillor from the Islamic Research And Educational Academy in Melbourne, says there were derogatory & slandering statements spewed against several communities including Dravidians, Punjab Police & their Government, Bengal Police and their Government, Christian missionaries, Muslims as well Jewish community’s food practices.

“This part gobsmacked me the most where there was a person named Akhilesh who informed Mr Tejasvi that he and other Hindus from across Australia (now a group of 50 People) are running a Campaign (under the name Saatvik Prasaad) against HALAL as well KOSHER meat, and how these food impositions are affecting Australian economy (negatively),” said Mr Razavi.

“I was appalled to hear Mr Surya responded by endorsing this initiative!”

“He literally said: “Ya Very good, very encouraging to know that such initiatives are undertaken (in Australia), I wish you the very best.”

Mr Surya further went on to say: “I want to put one specific thought in all of your minds, We know the history of this particular community (referring to Muslims) from the time of it’s existence, and it’s history has been writ large with bloodshed and violence.”

“Such language explicitly sows Hate & Social Discord in the community. According to several experts on radicalisation & terrorism, It’s this form of Islamophobic fear mongering that led to the radicalisation and then implementation of the Christchurch terrorist attack! We Australians do not accept such extremism being preached in our country, and that too, by a foreign visitor,” said Mr Razavi.
