“Recover. Rebuild. Make Victoria number one again.”: Victoria’s leader of opposition lays out his plans for the state, if elected to power.

Victorian Liberal leader Matthew Guy has said that his government, if voted in, will work with the Victorian people to address the consequences of the COVID-19 lockdowns.

Matthew Guy was addressing Victoria’s multicultural media at the Parliament of Victoria on Thursday, 21 April.

“We will build the capacity of the health system to treat more people and fix Victoria’s health crisis.”, Mr Guy said, adding, “We will invest in the people and the programs that will fix our mental health crisis.”

He criticised the Labor government for failing to prepare for fixing the health system as Victoria was coming out of COVID.

Mr Guy said his government will guarantee no new taxes “so there’s more money in the pockets of Victorian families.”

He also assured that the Liberals will bring back manufacturing to Victoria and “give small business owners the confidence they need to recover and rebuild – and hire more people.”

Victorian state elections are scheduled to be held on 26 November 2022.
