There was a major push to woo Indian-Australian voters during the recently held Federal Elections. This was clearly in evidence with all the promises of grants and freebies being offered to Indian communities with a single aim to win their favour. Here is a look at how they performed.

Indian-Australian voters make up the second-largest migrant community in Australia today and every political party was aware of the influence the community could have on the results. Not surprisingly, there were plenty of candidates of Indian origin contesting seats in all the major states.
