In an unfortunate case of relationship-gone-wrong, a 20-year-old Australian NRI woman had her private photos uploaded on social media by a disgruntled ex-lover from Ahmedabad, after she broke off her relationship with him and blocked him on her phone.
The 23-year-old ex-lover circulated intimate pictures with the young woman as an act of revenge for snapping ties with him.
The cybercrime cell arrested the man, Parth Champaneri on Sunday.

According to a report in The Times of India, the victim is a student in Australia. Her father complained to the police after the accused started sending his daughter’s photographs to her cousin and shared them on some social media platforms.
After preliminary enquiries, the police found that Champaneri, a resident of Satatya Avenue in New Ranip, had befriended the girl in January last year after which he had got into a physical relationship with her. According to the police, the accused filmed their intimate sessions on his phone several times.
The woman went away to Australia to pursue higher studies and could not interact with Champaneri as much as he wanted. He began to get very demanding and fought with her several times over what he perceived to be her lack of interest.
Unable to take the constant badgering anymore, the young girl broke up with him a month ago and blocked him. Champaneri got enraged and uploaded their pictures on Instagram in an attempt to sully her image. These are the photos he started circulating using his mobile phone, the police said.
Champaneri also sent these incriminating photos to the woman’s cousin, ordering her to ask the victim to unblock him. He even started threatening to send the pictures to more people if his demands were not met. Not able to withstand his threats any longer, the victim’s father finally lodged a complaint against Champaneri on Saturday.
