Kuwait to resume commercial flights with India

Kuwait will resume commercial flights with India, among other countries.

Kuwait has reallowed commercial flights with many countries, including India, Nepal, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

On Wednesday, a cabinet statement said that the country would resume flights with the South Asian countries while adhering to the COVID-19 measures set by a ministerial committee.

The decision also includes resuming flights with Sri Lanka and Egypt, the government said.

Arab Times Online reports that the Directorate- General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is “said to have set a ‘quota’ for 29 airlines operating at the Kuwait International Airport quota based on a decision to increase the operating capacity to 7,500 passengers per day.”

“In contrast, the quota for some destinations has been increased while for others it remains the same,” reads the report.
