Community raises funds to help young family of Indian man who died in Perth

Indian community in Australia is raising funds to help the family of a Perth-based Indian national who died in the Royal Perth Hospital.

29-year-old Karamjeet Singh Dhaliwal was admitted to the Royal Perth Hospital last Monday due to a cardiac attack.

A petition organised by his friends says that Mr Singh died on 18 June after four days despite doctors’ effort.

“Sharing heavy heartedly this sad news Karamjeet Singh Dhaliwal, 29, was admitted to the Royal Perth Hospital last Monday due to a cardiac arrest. After four days despite doctor efforts, he passed away yesterday 18.06.2021,” reads the petition.

Mr Singh was in Australia on a spouse visa since 2019. He belonged to Barnala, Punjab, India. He is survived by his wife and a 14-month-old daughter.

The petition says his cousin is bearing is trying to raise funds to repatriate his mortal remains to India.

“These funds will be used to support his wife and daughter financially. Your support & help during this hard time is much appreciated,” appeals the family.
