Monika Verma, a mother of two, has urged the community in the US and worldwide to help her in the ‘tough time’ of her life.

Ms Verma has posted an emotional appeal on the GoFundMe website to raise funds to pay her bills.

She says her husband is in a coma due to an Anoxic Brain Injury.

“Never in a million years did I think I’d have to write this. I am a mother of two kids. My husband, Puneet K Verma, went into cardiac arrest on 3/20/21 around 4:00 PM. My husband is currently suffering from “Anoxic Brain Injury” (and) since this incident, he is in a coma,” read the appeal.

Ms Verma says she is struggling to pay basic bills and rent too.

“I am pleading for any amount of financial help during this tough time in my life. Please keep him in your prayers,” adds Ms Verma, who has posted the appeal from Dublin, California.

Thirteen people had donated USD 1,905 in the first few hours after the appeal was posted online.
