In a bold move, Indian-American Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy calls for unity within the GOP, urging fellow candidates to withdraw from the ballots in Maine and Colorado. These states recently disqualified Donald Trump from the race, citing his role in the 2021 Capitol attack, invoking the 14th Amendment. Ramaswamy aims to nullify this decision by boycotting the elections, emphasizing the need to prevent what he deems unconstitutional election interference.

Speaking with a news channel, the 38-year-old biotech entrepreneur reveals his commitment to this cause, urging other Republicans to follow suit. Ramaswamy emphasizes the unconstitutional nature of the disqualification and calls for a principled stand against it. He stresses the importance of action over mere words, challenging notable GOP candidates like Nikki Haley, Chris Christie, and Ron DeSantis to join him in withdrawing from these contested states.

Ramaswamy underscores the silence and sidestepping by other Republican candidates on this issue, signaling potential complicity in the disqualification. His call for unity revolves around the belief that if every Republican withdraws, it nullifies the questionable decisions made by Maine and Colorado. Despite opposition, he stands firm on his principles, condemning the unilateral removal of Trump from the ballot without due process.

As Trump faces legal challenges and maintains his frontrunner status within the Republican Party, Ramaswamy’s stance adds a new dimension to the ongoing debate over Trump’s eligibility. The call for GOP candidates to withdraw becomes a symbolic gesture against what Ramaswamy perceives as an unconstitutional decision, bringing attention to the need for due process and fairness in the electoral arena.
