The High Commission of India in London has advised the Indian diaspora to desist from the dodgy agents.

The High Commission has tweeted an advisory asking Indians living abroad to be aware of false promises some agents might make about faster services.

“The members of Indian diaspora are advised to desist from dealing with touts/agents who may be making false promises about arranging urgent appointments or faster passport/OCI/Visa/Consular service delivery,” the High Commission has tweeted.

The advisory says the high commission or consulates have not authorised any intermediary/representative to undertake such activity or give such assurances.

“Such incidents may be reported to the High Commission at inf.london@mea.gov.in,” reads the advisory.
