‘Serious concerns’: Indian origin man missing for over two weeks

NSW Police has made a new request for public assistance in the search for a missing man, Indian origin 62-year-old Sathyendra Subbanna.

On 13 January, Campbelltown Police had received a report of Sathyendra Subbanna failing to return to work after taking time off.

A geo-targeted message was sent to people in the Kiama and Jervis Bay areas regarding Sathyendra Subbanna.

This week police has issued a fresh appeal for assistance.

“Appeal to locate 62yo Minto man – Sathyendra Subbanna – Last seen on CCTV footage leaving a hotel on Bong Bong Street, Kiama, about 9 am on Tuesday 18/01/22. Known to frequent Campbelltown and South Coast including Kiama & Jervis Bay,” NSW police said.

According to the police statement, initial inquiries revealed Mr Subbanna was last seen leaving a home on Cochrane Street, Minto, on Tuesday 14 December 2021.

He has since been seen on CCTV footage leaving a hotel on Bong Bong Street, Kiama, about 9 am on Saturday 18 December 2022.

Police holds serious concerns for Sathyendra’s welfare.

Sathyendra is described as being of Indian Sub-continental appearance, about 165cm tall, of medium build, with short grey hair and grey/white moustache. He was seen wearing a black button-up shirt, black jacket, long black pants, black and white shoes, black hat and carrying a white/grey backpack with a large yellow smiley face.

He is known to frequent the Campbelltown area and areas of the South Coast, including Kiama and Jervis Bay.
