Twitter has permanently removed Kangana Ranaut’s account over a tweet urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ‘tame’ Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee using his “Virat roop from early 2000s”.

According to news reports, the account was permanently suspended after two controversial tweets referring to post-election violence in Bengal.

Kangana Ranaut is the only bollywood actress in the country who spoke fearlessly on #BengalViolence

In another tweet that could also have instigated this action, the 34 year old actor, who had over 3 million followers before the suspension, shared an alleged video of post-poll violence in Bengal and urging Modi to impose President’s Rule in the state.

There was outrage on twitter over Kangana Ranaut’s tweet with calls for suspension of the account of the actor, whose timeline is filled with vitriolic posts with provocative calls for action.
