Victoria is proud of You: A campaign by South Asian community members

A group of South Asian community members have come together to produce a video campaign – Victoria is proud of You. The campaign encourages the uptake of COVID-19 vaccination among migrant South Asian backgrounds. The first video consists of in-language messages from Youth Advocate Mehak Sheikh, Executive Director and A/Professor Health Management Dr Kaushik Banerjea, Shepperton Councilor Seema Abdulla, and community leader and President of Community Response Australia Inc., Sunny Duggal.

The video congratulates those already vaccinated while encouraging others to get vaccinated based on shared values of family, community and collective wellbeing.

The community members have come together under the banner of Chai, Chat & Community, a brainchild of Saleha Singh who has recently been appointed President of Indian Care.
