Cricket Australia has warmly invited enthusiastic supporters of the Pakistan cricket team to join the team’s training session at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in preparation for the eagerly awaited Boxing Day Test.

On the 21st of December, fans will have the unique opportunity to witness Pakistan’s cricket stars, including Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and captain Shan Masood, in action during their practice session. The Gate 1 of the MCG will be open for free entry before 10 am, just in time for the training session, which is scheduled to run from 10 am to 12:30 pm on Thursday.

This move by Cricket Australia not only provides fans with an up-close and personal experience of their favorite players gearing up for the crucial Test match but also serves as a morale boost for the Pakistani team with the vocal support of their followers.

The MCG holds special significance for Pakistan cricket, as it was the venue where they clinched their only ODI World Cup title in 1992. Additionally, the stadium hosted the ICC T20 World Cup final in 2022, where Pakistan faced England but falling short of victory.
